2023 Jeep ‘41 Concept
Over 80 years ago, the first Jeep vehicles rolled off the assembly line and headed toward active duty in the United States Army. As a way to pay tribute to its roots, Jeep created the military-themed Jeep ‘41 concept based on a four-door Wrangler Rubicon 4xe.
The plug-in hybrid Jeep ‘41 gets its power from a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine that teams with a pair of electric motors, a high-voltage battery pack, and a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission to generate 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. This setup returns an impressive 49 mpg equivalent and offers up to 21 miles of all-electric range, making it the most eco-friendly, capable, and technically advanced Wrangler ever. For hitting the trails, the concept comes with a 2-inch lift kit, 35-inch BFGoodrich mud-terrain tires, and 17-inch Fifteen52 Analog HD wheels.
The Jeep ‘41 nods to its past with a black powder-coated steel bumper and matte olive green finish. It also features a bumper bull bar from Jeep Performance Parts, a WARN winch, JPP half doors, and a tan soft top. Finishing touches include accent-colored tow hooks and a custom stenciled graphics package. On the inside, the SUV boasts canvas-covered seats, digitized camo styling elements, and Serafil 1043 stitching. Additionally, it has a Rhino-lined floor to fortify its toughness.
2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe Concept
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe concept is one of the few electric-assisted vehicles that Jeep built as part of its “Zero Emission Freedom” mission. Similar to the production version, this concept uses a 2.0-liter turbo-four, two electric motors, and a 400-volt battery system. That’s good for a fuel-economy rating of 56 mpg-equivalent and up to 25 miles of electric range. A TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission provides quick and precise gear changes, while the Jeep Quadra-Lift air suspension contributes to better ride quality.
On the outside, the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe concept has custom widened flares and trimmed wheel wells to accommodate its 33-inch BFGoodrich mud-terrain tires and 20-inch Vossen gray metallic matte-painted wheels. It’s also fitted with Mopar rock sliders for enhanced protection against off-road obstacles and four projector fog lamps to improve visibility in adverse weather conditions. The concept’s interior dons saddle-colored upholstery with “Rodney” houndstooth details for a premium and cozy vibe. Although the primary color scheme is custom, it still features Surf Blue stitching and signature Trailhawk 4xe badging.
2023 Jeep Wrangler Magneto 2.0 Concept
At the previous edition of the Easter Jeep Safari, Jeep introduced a first-of-its-kind battery-electric vehicle (BEV) called the Wrangler Magneto BEV concept, which received a phenomenal response from the attendees of the event. The Magneto 2.0 kicks things up a notch with increased power, capability, control, and technology.
The Wrangler Magneto 2.0 concept is equipped with a sophisticated axial flux motor, four lithium-ion 70-kWh battery packs that make up an 800-volt system, and a specialized inverter typically found in high-performance race cars. Mated to a six-speed manual transmission, this Wrangler churns out an incredible 625 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. According to Jeep, it’s capable of hitting 60 mph from a stop in a mind-blowing two seconds.
Based on a two-door Wrangler, the Magneto 2.0 concept’s wheelbase is 12 inches longer than its predecessor’s. It comes with a 3-inch lift kit that creates enough room for its huge 40-inch Maxxis Razr mud tires, which are fitted on 20-inch wheels. Exterior details include Surf Blue paint, custom bumpers, a bikini top, carbon-fiber bits, and a special hood with a window allowing admirers to peek at the power unit.
2023 Jeep Bob Concept
The Jeep Bob concept is a cross between the iconic Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator JT pickup truck. “Bobbing” is a term used for shortening a vehicle to improve its off-road capability. In this case, it means reducing the truck bed overhang of the Gladiator by 12 inches. High-clearance fender flares and custom steel bumpers increase the concept’s approach and departure angles and provide extra protection in off-road situations. Other modifications include 40-inch Maxxis Razr mud tires, 20-inch Raceline Beadlock wheels, a 3-inch lift kit with off-road suspension components, Dynatrac ProRock 60 axles, and King coils and bypass shocks.
Powering the Jeep Bob concept is a 3.0-liter Eco-Diesel turbo-six engine that pairs with a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. Delivering low RPM shifts, this setup can easily adjust to rough terrain. The SUV also has a Mopar cold-air intake to produce more torque and better fuel efficiency.
Jeep Rubicon 20th Anniversary Concept
To celebrate the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon’s two decades of trail-loving fun, rock-crawling, and over-landing, Jeep showcased the Jeep Rubicon 20th Anniversary concept at the 2022 Easter Jeep Safari. Featuring the same 6.4-liter V-8 found in the Rubicon 392, this concept boasts a 2-inch lift kit from Jeep Performance Parts, 37-inch BFGoodrich mud-terrain tires, and 17-inch Mopar Beadlock-capable wheels. A steel front bumper incorporates a WARN winch, while an underbody skid plate protects the vehicle’s critical components.
The exterior of the Rubicon 20th Anniversary concept boasts a matte Granite Crystal vinyl wrap, a Sky One-Touch Power Top, custom-built half doors, and removable side panels. To acknowledge the Wrangler Rubicon’s 20 years of success, there’s a 20th-anniversary hood decal, an American flag fender decal, and gold tow hooks and badging.

What Are the Benefits of Washing Your Vehicle Regularly?

Car Wash-5096 by West Midlands Fire Service is licensed with CC BY-SA 2.0
Properly cleaning your vehicle not only makes it look great but also offers an array of practical benefits. Below are a few reasons why you should wash your car regularly:
Prevent Damage to Your Paint Job
Dirt, mud, rain, and road salt can attach themselves to the exterior of your vehicle as you drive. They contain minerals and other substances that can do a number on your paint job. Washing your car is an effective way to remove these impurities and prevent expensive paint repairs.
Keep Your Car in Good Condition
In addition to ruining your paint job, the impurities that accumulate on your vehicle can cause damage to other components. For example, road salt can corrode certain parts on the underside of your car, such as the coil springs, axles, exhaust, and mufflers. Additionally, dirt and debris that get under the hood can affect the health of your engine in the long run. As such, keeping your vehicle clean can enhance its overall condition and longevity.
Enjoy Better Visibility
If you don’t wash your vehicle properly or frequently, you’ll probably notice dirt and grime buildups, hard water spots, and streaks forming on the windows and mirrors. This can make it harder for you to see what’s happening around your car, increasing your risk of getting into an accident. Going to the car wash doesn’t cost a lot, but it can help you stay safe behind the wheel by improving your visibility.
Increase Your Car’s Value
Are you planning to sell or trade in your vehicle in the future? If so, it’s a good idea to start taking good care of your car now. Washing your vehicle often can help prevent rust, dull paint, and other issues that can make it less desirable, ensuring that it will fetch a good price when it’s time for you to part with it.
How Often Should You Wash Your Car?
In most cases, experts recommend that you wash your vehicle roughly once every two weeks. However, if you frequently drive in a dusty environment, go on road trips, or park your car outside, you should go to the car wash more often. While you may think that washing your vehicle is a summertime chore, you actually have to do it more often in winter. This is because salt from the roads can corrode the metal parts of your car.

Preview The Upcoming Ram 1500 BEV Pickup Truck
Ram has made its way to the top of the full-size pickup class over recent years with the Ram 1500. This truck offers a selection of cargo beds and powerful engines that can get the job done at the work site. But now, Ram is moving into the electric vehicle (EV) race with a new Ram 1500 BEV. Many people wonder whether the Ram 1500 BEV will differ substantially from its gas-powered cousin and what new features it could bring. Here at Chris Nikel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat, we can help answer some of these questions. View our inventory of New Vehicles, or if you have any questions, give us a call at (539)-766-8990 today!
When Will the Ram 1500 BEV Launch?

Image by stevosdisposable is licensed with Unsplash License
The Ram 1500 BEV, a battery-powered EV, is set to begin production in early 2024. Ram hasn’t released too many details on the truck yet. Therefore, we’re not sure whether it will come out in time for the 2024 model year or whether the early 2024 production timeline means it will hit showrooms later that year for the 2025 model year. A concept is set to be previewed in January 2023, so we hope to have more information following its release.
What Will the Driving Range of the Ram 1500 BEV Be?
Ram executives have promised that the Ram 1500 BEV will have a range of “up to 500 miles.” This figure would be a tremendous improvement over many current EVs. Electric crossovers typically have a driving range between 250 and 350 miles, while Ford’s F-150 Lightning currently has a range of 320 miles. Reports indicate that the new electric truck will have an optional range extender, which suggests that there may be a base trim with a lower range and higher trims that will push the 500-mile mark.
Ram has also confirmed that its electric truck will be compatible with DC fast charging. The 1500 BEV will be able to charge at 150 kWh on a so-called Level 3 charger.
What Will the Ram 1500 Electric Truck Look Like?
While taking some of its styling from the gas-powered Ram, the 1500 electric truck will have some unique styling elements. The electric Ram will share the rugged style that fans of the gas-powered truck have enjoyed for years. However, early drawings already show some significant changes, such as an eye-catching illuminated Ram logo at the front and L-shaped taillights with the Ram logo at the rear. Instead of the traditional upper grille, the electrified Ram will get a dark-colored panel that will improve aerodynamics.
Like many other electric trucks, the Ram’s powertrain will consist of a battery and electric motors. The powertrain will be located under the floor in the center of the vehicle. This change in design from traditional front-engine, gas-powered vehicles could open up even more cargo space inside the Ram’s cabin.
What Will the Ram Electric Truck’s Specs Be?
We’re still some time away from the Ram 1500 BEV’s release date, so we don’t yet know all the specifics about its capabilities. Speculation suggests that the truck could ride on the STLA platform, which Stellantis, Ram’s parent company, wants to bring out in 2024. The platform is expected to offer room for a spare tire under the cargo bed.
Discussion is ongoing about whether a hybrid powertrain will be offered in the lineup. The advantage of including this option would be that it could appeal to buyers who are uncertain about relying solely on an electric powertrain. One of the concerns raised is that the official driving range of an EV can decline sharply when the EV has to tow or haul a heavy load. This issue could pose a problem for Ram buyers, who predominantly use their trucks to shift heavy cargo.
One potential solution being considered is whether the “range extender” offered in the Ram 1500 electric truck could consist of a gas-powered engine alongside an electric motor. This system could run on all-electric power most of the time but have the gas-powered engine as a backup for situations where much power is used up during a heavy towing job.
How Will the Ram 1500 BEV Compare to the Gas-Powered Truck?
We’ll have a clearer idea after we see the concept vehicle, but it already seems likely that the electric truck will have a short cargo bed. Currently, the Ram 1500 gives customers the choice of three cargo bed lengths.
The latest editions of the Ram 1500 are available with a longer bed measuring 6 feet 4 inches in length and a shorter one that’s 5 feet 7 inches long. If you choose the Ram Classic 1500, modeled on a previous-generation Ram discontinued in 2019, you can also select an 8-feet-long bed, which is ideal for job sites.
The all-electric Ram 1500 may only be available with the shorter 5-feet-7-inch bed. This cargo-hauling option could be combined with a cab offering two rows of seats, much like the Crew cab in the gas-powered Ram truck in terms of size.
Can I Reserve a Ram 1500 Electric Truck?
There’s no reservation process yet for the Ram 1500 BEV, but Ram will likely put one in place nearer to the release date. Other electric truck manufacturers have done this in recent years due to the high demand for EVs. For example, Ford’s F-150 Lightning currently has 200,000 requests on hand, while Chevy’s Silverado EV has 170,000.
When reservations are open, we’ll ensure that you’re the first to know about it here at Chris Nikel Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat. Our easily accessible online services, including custom-order trucks, will enable you to register your interest in no time.
If you’ve decided to wait for the release of the Ram 1500 electric truck before making your next truck purchase, we recommend you check back regularly to stay up to speed with the latest news. Alternatively, if you’d rather check out our latest Ram 1500 gas-powered trucks, we have a great selection for you to explore in our Tulsa showroom. You can arrange a test drive or select your preferred trim by spending just a few minutes browsing our online inventory. Should you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

When it comes to large SUVs capable of swallowing just about any cargo you can throw at them, you can’t look past the Jeep Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L. These huge three-row vehicles can accommodate seven or eight people in the cabin while offering a massive cargo area and remarkable towing abilities. Our Jeep experts here at Chris Nikel Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat (CJDRF) took a closer look at these two SUVs to find out what makes them unique. View our inventory of New Vehicles, or if you have any questions, give us a call at (539)-766-8990 today!
What’s the Difference Between the Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L?
If you thought the Jeep Wagoneer and its luxurious Grand Wagoneer sibling were big, you haven’t seen the Wagoneer L or Grand Wagoneer L yet. These two latest additions to the Wagoneer lineup have 7 inches of additional wheelbase and are 12 inches longer than the original Wagoneer. This added space provides an even larger rear cargo area.
The additional space gives the Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L 42.1 cubic feet and 44.2 cubic feet of storage space behind the third row, respectively, compared to just over 27 cubic feet in the original Wagoneer models. With the two rear rows folded flat, you can open up over 112 cubic feet of space. You can easily load a 4×8 sheet of plywood behind the front row with room to spare.
Engine and Performance
A 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine powers both the Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L. In the Wagoneer L, this unit churns out 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque. The Grand Wagoneer L benefits from an even more powerful version of the same engine capable of generating 510 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. Both Jeeps also share the same eight-speed automatic transmission.
Three four-wheel-drive configurations are available across these two vehicles. The Quadra-Trac I system has a single-speed transfer case. Quadra-Trac II has a two-speed transfer case, while Quadra-Drive II uses an electronic slip differential and sensors to anticipate losses in torque and adjust traction on the wheels appropriately. The Quadra-Drive II system is available in the Grand Wagoneer L only.
The Wagoneer L has a standard coil suspension with the option of upgrading to an air suspension. The air suspension is standard with the Grand Wagoneer L. It adds better performance and also has five height settings for your vehicle. The highest setting gives the Grand Wagoneer L a fantastic 10 inches of ground clearance.
Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L Passenger Capacity
These full-sized SUVs can accommodate eight people if you stick with the standard bench seat in the second row. If you choose to swap the bench for captain’s chairs, the capacity drops to seven people. Thanks to the spacious dimensions of the cabin, adult passengers have plenty of room to sit in all three rows of the Wagoneer L or Grand Wagoneer L.
Both the Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L have upscale cabins, with leather upholstery coming standard. The Grand Wagoneer L stands out even more with its additional features. 24-way power adjustments, massaging functions, and ventilation are standard for the front seats in the Grand Wagoneer L. In addition, the Grand Wagoneer L’s two rear rows have a power-folding mechanism to make it even easier for you to open up the maximum cargo area.
Infotainment Features
The Wagoneer L has a 10.1-inch infotainment screen at the center of the dashboard, and you also get a standard 10.3-inch gauge cluster. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are offered with standard wireless connectivity, making it even easier to use your phone in conjunction with Jeep’s infotainment system. USB ports are located throughout the cabin, including four ports usefully situated for third-row passengers.
The Grand Wagoneer L manages to offer even more touchscreens than the Wagoneer L. The main touch screen measures 12 inches, and there’s also a 12.3-inch gauge cluster and a 10.1-inch screen located below the main touch screen.
On top of these standard displays, you can add another 10-inch screen for the front-seat passenger to operate and two 10-inch screens mounted on the rear of the front-seat headrests as part of Jeep’s rear-seat infotainment system. The two screens for second-row passengers work independently, removing the need for arguments between the kids about what they should watch on a long drive.
Like the Wagoneer L, the Grand Wagoneer L has wireless smartphone compatibility. Under the lower touch screen, you’ll find a wireless charging pad for your phone.
Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L Safety
Both of these full-sized SUVs are well-equipped with driver assistance features to help keep you and your family safe on the road. Forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and pedestrian detection are all standard. Parking sensors will help you maneuver this extra-large vehicle into a tight spot.
In the base Wagoneer L trim, a surround-view camera is available as an optional upgrade, but it comes standard in all other trims. This camera is well worth having since it provides an aerial view of your Grand Wagoneer L or Wagoneer L so that you can spot obstacles from all sides.
As you can see, Jeep has provided buyers looking for a huge cabin and impressive power train plenty of things to think about. The Wagoneer L is certainly the more affordable option, with a starting price of around $58,000 compared to the Grand Wagoneer L’s MSRP of over $85,000. Both vehicles offer more than ample space for a large family to travel in style, but those of you looking for extra power under the hood and a luxurious interior will probably be drawn to the Grand Wagoneer L.

Even with all these year-round interests, residents and visitors are most eager to view the Christmas light attractions during the holiday season. Read on to learn about our five favorite places in the Broken Arrow area where you can view Christmas lights in 2022.
Rhema Christmas Lights Extravaganza

Who can resist seeing 3,000,000 Christmas lights? The Rhema Lights display is a major annual event in Broken Arrow. Located at Rhema Bible Church, the extravaganza began in 1982 with roughly 60,000 lights. Now, 40 years later, the 110-acre campus showcases 50 times more illumination for 500,000 visitors. You and your loved ones will be awed by the shimmering bulbs synchronized to Christmas carols.
The fun extends beyond the traditional lights. Festive figures are fully lit, including a gingerbread family, angels, reindeer, and Noah’s ark with animals. A nativity scene with 50 sparkling figures always wows the crowds. You won’t be able to miss the Christmas tree forest with its 22-foot tree topped with a 5-foot star. Enjoy all the Rhema Lights’ beauty by driving, walking, or on a paid horse-drawn carriage. The carriage rides are on a first-come-first-served basis.
Sightseers love taking photos next to the Rhema Park bridge, which features about 90,000 lights hung across it. Delightful concessions such as hot chocolate, sweet apple cider, popcorn, kettle corn, and funnel cakes are available. Admission is free, and donations are appreciated.
Location: 1025 W. Kenosha St., Broken Arrow.
Hours: The lights turn on at 6 p.m. on Nov. 23, 2022, and then 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily from Nov. 24, 2022, through Jan. 1, 2023. Rain, snow, or shine.

View a fabulous colorful light show and more at the Garden of Lights in the Tulsa Botanic Garden. This spot is an evolving public garden that spans 170 acres about eight miles northwest of downtown Tulsa. It boasts thousands of plants, trees, grasses, and flowers all year long. The Christmas lights event encompasses all the garden’s natural elements along with original artwork displayed throughout. It’s an amazing sight to behold when the lights are reflected in the 7-acre lake and other bodies of water on the property.
Place a special wish on the Wishing Tree, capture smiles at the selfie photo booth, and make yummy s’mores over fire pits. Each night, you can grab food from a food truck while you listen to holiday music. Check the schedule for nights with pop-up crafts, train rides, live jazz, caroling, and more. Hot cider, cocoa, and coffee are available for purchase. Adult beverages like wine, cocktails, and beer are also for sale.

Advance ticket purchases are encouraged due to limited capacity and the non-guarantee of tickets at the door. Admission is free for children aged two and under, but a ticket is still required. Date night packages, family night packages, and large group rates are available.
Location: 3900 Tulsa Botanic Dr., Tulsa.
Hours: 5-9 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, Nov. 25-Dec. 4, 2022, and daily Dec. 8-30, 2022. Closed Dec. 15, 24, 25, 2022.
Philbrook Festival
An annual holiday tradition in Tulsa is the Philbrook Festival at the Philbrook Museum of Art. The event is a museum fundraiser that puts patrons in the holiday spirit. The festival is separated into two experiences. Festival Days provide various fun-filled activities, shopping, special exhibits, and a Lego Villa. Residents in the Tulsa area submit the Lego creations that you can vote for. A 15-foot Christmas tree typically adorns the front entrance. More trees, paintings, jewelry, and one-of-a-kind decor are featured throughout the galleries.
On Festival Nights, thousands of Christmas lights illuminate the museum from the front gate to the rear gardens. A light show set to music is always a hit with families. Santa shows up to take photos with visitors of all ages. Santa’s Snack Shack offers s’mores, wood-fired pizza, hot cocoa, and more. Local artists provide live music. The on-site restaurant, Kitchen 27, offers bar service on its patio.
Timed-entry tickets for Philbrook Museum of Art members and non-members must be purchased in advance. Please check the schedule for select nights and times.

Are you looking for a truck capable of going off-road while offering you all the luxury features you could desire? This new model promises to help you stand out from the crowd with unique interior and exterior colors. What Makes the Sandblast Edition Stand Out From the Ram 1500?

New 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition
The Sandblast Edition is available as an optional upgrade to the Ram 1500 TRX trim, which is the top trim in the lineup for this truck. It’s powered by a 702-horsepower engine that easily handles whatever towing or off-roading challenge you throw at it. You’ll need to add the Level 2 Equipment Group to access the new edition, ensuring its interior features are as luxurious as they come.
The Sandblast Edition’s most obvious feature is its unique paint color, which helps it to blend into desert conditions. In addition to the paint, the Sandblast Edition rides on 18-inch black wheels that are unique to this pickup edition. Inside the cabin, you’ll notice the frost contrast stitching and the Sandblast Edition badge on the center console. Finally, the Sandblast Edition has unique graphics on its infotainment and other displays.
Ram 1500 TRX Engine and Performance
The Sandblast Edition’s engine is a 6.2L supercharged V-8 capable of beating just about any other pickup in a sprint. The 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque it produces help propel the Ram 1500 TRX from zero to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. The engine also gives you the power to handle rock crawling, sand dunes, or a heavy trailer.
In addition to this powerful unit under the hood, the Sandblast Edition has four-wheel drive to help you cope on all surfaces. No other Ram 1500 trim offers four-wheel drive as standard, which is why the TRX is always the first choice for off-roaders. Ram has equipped its newest addition to the lineup with an off-road chassis and strengthened air filter to help the Sandblast Edition deal with all sorts of terrain, including dusty deserts and trails.
Fuel efficiency isn’t the Ram 1500 TRX’s strong point, but you’re probably not too concerned by that if you want to take advantage of the Sandblast Edition’s capabilities. This truck achieves 10 mpg on city roads and 14 mpg on the highway.
Ram 1500 Cargo and Passenger Options
The Sandblast Edition shares the TRX’s cab and cargo bed configuration: a five-seater crew cab with a short cargo bed. The crew cab is the Ram 1500’s largest cab option, providing cavernous seating in both rows for adult passengers. The cargo bed measures 5 feet 7 inches in length and has over 4 feet of distance between the wheel wells, making it perfect for loading plywood and other work supplies.
Inside the cabin, the Sandblast Edition gets genuine leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and power adjustments for the front passenger seats. The driver benefits from a heated steering wheel, a surround-view parking camera, and front and rear parking sensors.
If you need a larger cargo bed, you may want to check out the other options in the Ram 1500’s lineup. Other trims offer the option of a longer cargo bed measuring 6 feet 4 inches in length. This bed can be paired with the crew cab or the quad cab, which still has a rear row but more compact seats.
If your primary reason for purchasing a Ram 1500 is for the job site, you may want to consider the Ram Classic 1500. It includes an extra-long bed measuring over 8 feet and a regular cab with a single bench seat.
Infotainment and Safety Features
You won’t be able to miss the infotainment screen in the Sandblast Edition since it measures 12 inches and is linked to a 10-speaker premium stereo. Other attractive features are smartphone compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, satellite radio, and Bluetooth. On top of the main infotainment display, you also get a head-up display to keep up with speed limits, directions, and other important information while driving.
Ram gives its TRX trim a great selection of driver assistance features to help you stay safe while on the road. In the Sandblast Edition, you get adaptive cruise control, a feature that automatically adjusts your speed on the highway to maintain a safe distance from others.
Other safety features worth noting include forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, and lane-keep assist. The surround-view parking camera will come in handy if you need to line up your truck perfectly when you’re towing a trailer or need to maneuver carefully into a tight spot.

The New 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe overview
If you’ve always been a fan of Jeep’s rugged design and off-roading chops, the Grand Cherokee has probably been on your radar for some time. Jeep has developed a new plug-in hybrid option for its popular SUVs: the 4xe. This model combines the power of a turbocharged engine with an electric motor to produce excellent fuel economy while retaining the Grand Cherokee’s utility. Here’s a rundown of some of its key features. Feel free to contact us at Chris Nikel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to learn more.
Grand Cherokee 4xe Engine and Performance

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe
The 2023 Grand Cherokee 4xe’s powertrain consists of a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that combine to put out 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. A four-wheel-drive setup is available, alongside an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 4xe’s powertrain actually delivers more horsepower than the 293 horsepower generated by the base V-6 engine in the gas-powered Grand Cherokee.
The Grand Cherokee 4xe offers three driving modes: electric, hybrid, and eSave. In the electric mode, your Grand Cherokee is powered solely by the battery pack and electric motor. Hybrid mode combines the gas engine with the electric system and can slowly replenish your battery’s power as you drive. The eSave mode relies on the gas engine only, giving you the option of saving the battery until later. For example, the battery tends to drain more quickly on rough terrain, whereas the gas engine excels in these conditions.
In hybrid driving mode, the Grand Cherokee 4xe achieves 56 mpg equivalent. If you rely on the gas engine only, you’ll manage 23 mpg combined. In all-electric mode, the Grand Cherokee 4xe has a driving range of 25 miles, which may be enough for you to complete your daily commute without relying on gas.
Because the Grand Cherokee 4xe is built in much the same way as the standard Grand Cherokee, the plug-in hybrid retains strong off-roading performance. It has an air suspension system to help iron out rough terrain, and you can opt for important off-roading features, such as skid plates, all-terrain tires, and low-range gears. In terms of towing, this hybrid SUV more than holds its own against the competition, with a towing capacity of 6,200 pounds.
Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Interior Features
The interior of the Grand Cherokee 4xe will look familiar to Jeep fans because it’s not all that different from the standard Grand Cherokee. Five passengers can relax comfortably across two rows of seating, which have standard leather upholstery. Both rows have plenty of space for adult passengers, including 41.3 inches of legroom up front and 38.2 inches in the rear.
One major difference from the original Grand Cherokee is that the 4xe is designed with blue accents throughout the cabin. This is a signature of the 4xe label, which Jeep has already used on the Wrangler. You’ll also notice blue exterior accents, including decals and 4xe badges.
Standard seating features include power adjustments in the front row, heated first- and second-row seats, and memory settings for the driver. You can upgrade to ventilated front seats, sunshades for the rear row, and a massaging function for the front seats.
Behind the second row, you’ll have 37.7 cubic feet of storage space. That’s plenty of room to load up your gear to go camping or carry several suitcases for a family vacation. If you need to transport bulkier items, such as household furniture, you can fold down the rear row of seats to open up over 70 cubic feet of capacity behind the front row.
Jeep Infotainment and Safety Tech
The standard infotainment setup includes a main touch screen designed to make it easy to access features. There’s also a smaller display for the passenger seat, which allows your front-seat passenger to take care of things like finding a route on your navigation system or changing the radio channel, so you can stay focused on the road ahead. Other standard features include a Wi-Fi hotspot, smartphone compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an option to save user preferences.
A similarly wide range of safety features come standard. These include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring. If you do a bit of off-roading, you’ll be glad about the hill start assist feature, as well as the optional off-roading camera. Other optional features include a surround-view parking camera and a trailer hitch camera so you’ll have an easier time hooking up a camper or boat at the rear.
Grand Cherokee 4xe Trims
If you’re shopping for the Grand Cherokee 4xe, you’ll have five trims to choose from: base, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, and Reserve Summit. The MSRP for the 4xe starts at around $58,000 and tops out with the Reserve Summit at around $74,000 MSRP.
The Trailhawk trim is a great choice if you do a lot of off-roading. It comes with all the trademark off-roading features you’d expect from a Jeep, such as skid plates and an off-roading suspension. In the Reserve Summit trim, you can get your hands on a unique honey-colored leather upholstery that makes the 4xe’s interior really stand out.
Hopefully, you can now appreciate why there’s so much excitement surrounding the Grand Cherokee 4xe. Having succeeded in bringing out plug-in hybrid versions of two of its most popular SUVs, Jeep is reportedly preparing to roll out the 4xe badge on other models in the coming years. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the latest news about Jeep’s transition to hybrid vehicles.
If you have any questions about the Grand Cherokee 4xe or you’d like to inspect one for yourself, don’t hesitate to contact us. Here at Chris Nikel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat, we pride ourselves on offering Tulsa drivers a hassle-free purchasing experience. Our finance team is on hand to assist you in securing a good auto loan or arranging a lease agreement.
