The Philbrook Museum of Art is an enchanting Italian Renaissance-style villa built in the 1920s amidst 23 acres of beautiful grounds. In the late 1930s, the villa and property were gifted by its owner to become the beloved Tulsa art museum it is today. It’s located at 2727 S. Rockford Road in Tulsa, only 20 minutes from Broken Arrow. It’s open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is only $12 for adults while youth 17 and under are free, making it a great place to take the whole family.

The museum is closed on Thanksgiving Day, but you’ll definitely want to check out the Philbrook Festival, which is returning this year in late November and runs for six weeks. Member tickets are available from Nov. 2, and public tickets are available from Nov. 9. It features a 15-foot Christmas tree at the entrance, trees and decorations inside the villa, thousands of lights illuminating the villa’s exterior and back gardens, as well as art displays, live music performances, and holiday decor to set the festive mood. Rhema Christmas Lights Extravaganza

Rhema Christmas Lights Extravaganza lights up at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Eve on Nov. 23 and runs until Jan. 2. This spectacle is free to attend and located at the 110-acre Rhema campus, where nearly three million lights will be lit up in extravagant displays. This event attracts around 500,000 visitors a year from around Oklahoma. At the extravaganza, you’ll find a Christmas tree forest, 3D angels and reindeer, a gingerbread family, and more. Acting as a focal piece of the display is the Rhema Park bridge, which is beautifully lit up by arching overhead lights.

This all-ages event will delight both kids and grown-ups with its magical displays. Hot chocolates, kettle corn, and funnel cakes will be available to buy in the park, along with lighted toys for the kids to enjoy at home. There are also carriage rides offered at the event with two types of carriages. Open-top carriage rides are $10 per person, with kids five and under free. Or go with a private carriage, which is $50 and can fit up to four adults. Is there a better way to spend an evening than enjoying a light display with your family?

Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run and Walk

The Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run and Walk is an annual event that happens on the day after Thanksgiving. It’s a post-Thanksgiving tradition that is a great way to up your steps after a day of eating turkey, potatoes, pies, and other delights. The Turkey Trot follows a course through downtown Tulsa that starts and ends at the grand Christmas tree at the BOK Center. The timed 5K race costs $45 after Oct. 24, while the Fun Run, which isn’t timed, starts at $30. Special pricing is available for youths aged 18 and under.

All participants of the Turkey Trot 5K and Fun Run will receive a long-sleeved T-shirt and post-race treats along with a great finisher medal to celebrate. You can enter the race to see how fast you can make it, or you get some friends together or invite family to join in the fun run to participate in this local tradition. After the race, you can check out the Tulsa Winterfest celebrations happening downtown for even more festivities and some Black Friday shopping. Then head home to Broken Arrow for a dinner of Thanksgiving leftovers and turkey sandwiches.

The New 2023 Chrysler 300

The interior of the 2023 Chrysler 300 will be largely the same as the 2022 model, with no expected upgrades. You’ll find the same easy-to-use analog controls and gray/black high-quality plastic dash. The dual-zone automatic climate control system lets you set separate temperatures for the left and right sides to suit all your passengers. Engine and Power

The 300 Touring and Touring L use a 292-hp 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with 6,350 RPM and 260 lb-ft of torque, while the 300S V-6 comes in at 300 hp. Both trims also use an eight-speed automatic transmission with rotary e-shift. The most powerful engine of the range is the 300S with the 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI engine, which gives you 333 hp at 5,200 RPM and torque that comes in at 264 lb-ft at 4,800 RPM. If you want to haul a light load, you’ll be happy to know that all trims have an equal towing capacity of 1,000 lbs.

Safety Features

The standard safety features on the 2022, which are likely to be the same as in the 2023 Chrysler 300, include stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, and a rear-view camera. However, you’ll probably want to upgrade to a safety package with added safety features.

The SafetyTec Plus Group is available on the Touring L and 300S vehicles and offers a range of additional safety features. These include adaptive cruise control, which lets you set a safe following distance to the car in front of you, and advanced brake assist with forward-collision warning to warn you of a possible collision and help you stop swiftly and safely.

Other handy features of this safety package include rain-sensitive windshield wipers that sense moisture buildup on the windshield and automatically come on to keep your view clear. The automatic high-beam headlight control senses the ambient light, adjusts to oncoming traffic headlights or taillights in front of you, and switches between high-beam and low-beam. Another important safety feature is the lane-departure warning that will alert you if you start to leave the lane, so you can safely correct your course. These features will help keep you and your passengers safe on the road.

The Dodge Ram lineup has something for every taste and job if you need a pickup truck and want power, comfort, and convenience. The full-size Ram 1500 and the heavy-duty Ram 2500 have exceptional powertrain packages that can handle your work week and weekend adventures. Of course, each truck has its specs. To help you determine which truck fits your needs best, we asked our pickup experts to break down the two vehicles for you.

Towing and Performance

Ram 1500 and Ram 2500 pickups have the power to handle the most challenging jobs and terrain. You have gas and diesel engine options and the choice of a two-wheel or four-wheel drivetrain. Various cab and bed configurations offer more choices to suit a particular need. All your gas-powered engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine gets a six-speed automatic.

You have five engine options on the Ram 1500. A 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine comes in the lower trims. This engine puts out 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque and tows up to 7,730 pounds. Ram offers a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine with or without e-Torque, a mild hybrid technology. Both 5.7-liter engines produce 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. However, the e-Torque can tow more with a rating of 12,750 pounds versus the regular HEMI’s 11,610 pounds.

An available supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 capable of producing 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque can crank up the fun on or off the road. However, the supercharged HEMI doesn’t do much for towing, coming in at an 8,100-pound towing capacity. There’s still plenty of pull to take your bass boat to the river; you know you’ll get there fast. If you want power and efficiency, you can opt for the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel turbocharged V-6 engine. This powertrain puts out 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque and tows an impressive 12,560 pounds.

The Ram 2500 offers heavy-duty construction to support heavy-duty work. Therefore, Ram gives you two engine options on the 2500. A 6.4-liter gas-powered HEMI V-8 engine provides 410 horsepower, 429 lb-ft of torque, and can tow 17,540 pounds when properly equipped. You can choose the 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel inline six-cylinder engine if you need more power. This monster delivers 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque and an impressive 20,000-pound towing capacity.

Advanced Towing Technology

Towing anything with a Ram truck, you don’t rely just on power. Instead, you have some of the most advanced technologies in the world to assist you with the job. From hooking up to backing up and improved handling on the move, Ram towing technology helps you stay in control.

Ram towing technology includes Cargo View and Backup Camera systems. A cargo view camera sends a live video feed to your center stack display. If you’ve ever hauled gear and hit a bump, you’ve worried about something jostling free by the turbulence. Now, with a live video of your truck bed, you can see precisely how your load sits and determine if you need to resecure your gear without pulling over, getting out, and climbing up.

Ram’s Backup Camera System works similarly to other vehicles’ backup camera systems. However, in this case, you have a camera positioned directly above your ball hitch and pointed behind. From this angle, you can see your trailer’s receiver, and using the grid line guidance system on the video, steer your ball to the hitch without needing a spotter.

A 360-Degree Surround View Camera system uses multiple cameras to render an image of your Ram 1500 and its surroundings from above. Adding the Trailer Camera Prep package allows you to install two additional cameras on or in your trailer, broadening your view. In addition, Ram has Reverse Guidance with Split-Screen View system. This technology projects a single image as you back up to your hitch, or you can split the screen and see each side of your trailer as you back it toward a parking spot. This split view of either side helps you see how close your trailer gets to obstacles as you back up.

Driver-assist technology on your Ram 1500 or 2500 includes Blind Spot Monitoring, but unlike most systems, Ram’s technology includes Trailer Detection. This technology scans your blind spots behind you to either side and alerts you when vehicles enter them. In addition, unlike other manufacturers’ blind spot systems that require you manually account for your trailer, Ram’s automatically accounts for the length of your trailer.

Ram’s Trailer Reverse Steering Control system has revolutionized how you back up your trailer. Even seasoned towing professionals encounter steering issues when backing up a trailer. But with Trailer Reverse Steering Control, you won’t ever have that problem again. TRSC projects a live video of your trailer as you reverse. You then control your trailer’s direction by using the steering knob on the center stack. A Trailer Sway Control system continuously monitors your trailer’s path. When it detects a drift, the system automatically adjusts braking and throttle to help return your trailer to its intended course. You can take advantage of options such as the Trailer Tow Mirrors, which fold out when towing. They also feature spotter lamps. These mirrors improve visibility with a wider, clearer view.

Another option, the Multi-Function Tailgate, gives you more flexibility when loading and unloading the bed. Unlike other truck’s tailgates, the Ram MFT has 60/40 split swing-away doors that open to either side. This split door enables you to access the bed even with a trailer attached. Other trucks with traditional fold-down tailgates would strike the trailer, limiting access to the bed and possibly damaging your truck or trailer.

What Does the Altitude Package Include?

Among the most obvious things that set a Jeep with the Altitude Package apart from other vehicles are its dark accents and design features. The Altitude Package gives the 2022 Compass a black roof and gloss black exterior accents, such as grille rings and badges. Inside the cabin, black finishings are added to the instrument panel, and Piano Black accents add detail throughout.

New York Bagel Cafe has two locations in Tulsa, including its South Tulsa location on Yale Avenue. At this spot, you can enjoy your bagels inside the spacious cafe or on the expansive outdoor patio.

New York Bagel Cafe serves a wide variety of standard and deluxe bagels, such as spinach, parmesan, honey oat, and pumpernickel. Top your bagel with a delicious cream cheese spread in unique flavors like jalapeno salsa, sundried tomato, or honey almond. You can also get a breakfast bagel sandwich, such as the Meatlovers Bagel with bacon, ham, sausage, egg, and melted white cheddar. New York Bagel Cafe also serves lunch sandwiches, salads, assorted pastries, and espresso drinks.

Another popular Tulsa eatery, Trenchers Delicatessen is a high-quality sandwich shop serving breakfast and lunch items. The deli makes all of its breads and sweets in-house and roasts its own meats. When you’re craving a bagel, try the Vegan’s Dream, which comes with tofu scramble, avocado, tomato, and caramelized onion on a house-made bagel. Another bagel sandwich features scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, and avocado. Other items on the deli’s menu include salads and soups, meat and vegetarian sandwiches, cookies, muffins, and espresso drinks.
