Jeep has long been synonymous with off-road capability. However, even the most adventurous Jeep owner spends more time on the asphalt than rambling through trails. And let’s face it, driving on the streets presents more accident risk. So you’ll want a vehicle that scores well if the unthinkable happens. Fortunately, the Jeep lineup gets good reviews regarding crash tests. View our inventory of New Vehicles, or if you have any questions, give us a call at (539)-766-8990 today!

Crash Testing Organizations

Two prominent organizations perform crash testing on vehicles: the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). These organizations have a tremendous responsibility to test every new car. However, you might not always find results for the latest models due to the sheer volume of vehicles.

For example, you might not see the 2023 Jeep Cherokee crash test results yet because they haven’t been conducted. However, you can always look at earlier years to see how a specific model performed. Results typically follow the same pattern as long as the vehicle is part of the same generation. In some cases, scores increase as Jeep identifies problems and makes improvements midcycle.

Crash Test Ratings Explained

The NHTSA uses a five-star rating system. Five stars mean the vehicle performed exceptionally well on the test, while one star means it performed poorly or failed.

The IIHS uses a two-pronged rating system to measure crashworthiness and mitigation. A vehicle’s crashworthiness gauges how well it keeps its passengers safe in various crash scenarios. Crash mitigation considers vehicle systems designed to mitigate and avoid potential crashes. The IIHS uses a letter grade to rank performance.

A car receives a “G” rating for good performance. This is the highest possible rating and means that the tested area performed exceptionally well. An “A” rating stands for acceptable. As the second-highest rating, you can rely on this tested portion of the vehicle to perform well.

An “M” rating, meanwhile, stands for marginal and could mean one of two things. It might be that a tested component didn’t perform well, or it could be that a particular part failed to work during a crash. In either case, the risk of damage and injury was elevated.

Finally, a “P” or poor rating is the lowest possible score a car can receive. In almost all cases, the tested system failed to do its job well.

In addition to the letter rating, the IIHS uses a points rating on systems. The scale ranges from one to six. One to two points earn a basic rating, which means the component or system works at the lowest acceptable level. A three-to-four-point advanced rating means that the system works well, and a five-to-six-point rating means that it works extremely well.

The IIHS and NHTSA perform tests that simulate crash scenarios from different angles on the front, side, and roof. Testing also includes head and seat restraints, LATCH ease of use, and automated crash prevention systems.

2023 Jeep Cherokee

The Jeep Cherokee received top scores in all crash-test categories from the IIHS. The only low grade the Cherokee received was an acceptable rating for its headlights. The NHTSA hasn’t tested the 2023 models yet, though it awarded the 2022 Cherokee a four-star overall rating.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The IIHS gave the Grand Cherokee good ratings on four tests. The lowest scores came on front crash testing. However, the Grand Cherokee’s front crash mitigation systems received a superior rating, indicating that the technology is adept at helping to avoid front crashes.

An overall five-star rating from the NHTSA speaks to the Grand Cherokee’s crashworthiness. The Grand Cherokee received five stars in all categories except the rollover section, where it earned four stars.

2023 Jeep Renegade

The Jeep Renegade received a good rating in all initial testing. However, the IIHS recently updated two tests in which the Renegade scored lower grades. Again, Jeep’s front crash mitigation system received a superior rating. The Renegade’s weakest area was its headlights, which achieved lower scores depending on the trim level.

The NHTSA hasn’t tested the 2023 Renegade yet but gave the 2022 model year a four-star overall rating.

2023 Jeep Compass

The Jeep Compass earned the IIHS Top Safety Pick in 2022, and the 2023 model scored a good rating in every category except headlights, which ranged from good to marginal, depending on the trim. And the IIHS rated its front crash prevention systems superior, which speaks to this model’s safety.

The NHTSA hasn’t released its test results for the 2023 model year yet. However, the 2022 Compass scored four stars in rollover and front crash testing and five stars in side crash testing for a four-star overall rating.

2023 Jeep Wrangler

Jeep makes the Wrangler In 12 trims plus an all-electric model. In addition, the Wrangler comes in two- or four-door versions. As a result, scores vary depending on the Wrangler’s configuration. The IIHS gave the Wrangler a good rating in all but one category: the front driver’s side crash test. Once again, the superior front crash mitigation systems helped.

The NHTSA has only tested the front and rollover categories to date. However, it awarded four and three stars to the Wrangler for these tests, respectively.

2023 Jeep Gladiator

The IIHS has tested Jeep’s pickup truck in three categories. The small overlap front test was marginal, while the moderate overlap front and roof strength tests scored good ratings. Superior ratings on the front crash prevention systems improved the Gladiator’s scores.

In NHTSA testing, the Gladiator scored four stars in front crash testing and three stars in rollover testing. Other categories haven’t been rated to date.

2023 Jeep Wagoneer

Neither the IIHS nor NHTSA has tested the Wagoneer, Jeep’s newest edition to the lineup. However, as Jeep’s full-size luxury SUV, it has many advantages we expect will rate well in testing, including some of the most advanced crash mitigation technology available.

Having bad credit doesn’t mean you have to give up on your dream of owning a car. It’s true that poor credit can make it more challenging to secure a car loan, but it’s far from impossible. In this article, we discuss 10 tips to help you finance a car even if your credit score is less than perfect. View our inventory of New Vehicles, or if you have any questions, give us a call at (539)-766-8990 today!

Check Your Credit Score and Report

Before you start shopping for a car or applying for loans, check your credit score and report. This will give you an idea of what lenders see when they review your application. If you find any errors or discrepancies, dispute them with the credit bureaus to improve your score.

Improve Your Credit Score

While it might seem daunting, improving your credit score is achievable with patience and consistent effort. Here are some strategies to help you boost your score over time:

Pay All Bills on Time

One of the most critical factors in your credit score calculation is your payment history. Making all payments on time demonstrates to lenders that you’re responsible with credit, which can significantly impact your score. Set up automatic payments or reminders to ensure you never miss a due date.

Reduce Credit Card Balances

High credit card balances relative to your credit limits can negatively affect your credit utilization ratio, which accounts for a significant portion of your credit score. Aim to keep this ratio below 30% by paying down balances and avoiding maxing out credit cards.

Dispute Any Errors on Your Credit Report

Mistakes on your credit report can unfairly drag down your credit score. Regularly review your report for inaccuracies or discrepancies, such as incorrect account information or unauthorized inquiries. If you find any errors, dispute them with the appropriate credit bureaus to potentially see an immediate improvement in your score.

Maintain a Healthy Mix of Credit Types

Having a diverse mix of credit types, such as installment loans (e.g., car loans or mortgages) and revolving credit (e.g., credit cards), can benefit your overall credit profile. Lenders like to see you can handle different types of debt responsibly. However, don’t take on new debt solely for the sake of diversifying your credit mix; only do so if it makes financial sense.

Limit New Credit Inquiries

Applying for multiple new lines of credit in a short period can result in multiple hard inquiries on your report, which can temporarily lower your score. Try to space out new applications and only apply for new credit when necessary.

By following these steps, you can gradually improve your credit score and increase the likelihood of securing better loan terms when financing a car. Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day — improving your credit score takes time and consistent effort, but the rewards are well worth it.

Save for a Larger Down Payment

Lenders may require larger down payments for borrowers with bad credit, as it reduces their risk. By saving up for a sizable down payment, you’ll need to borrow less money and may be able to secure better loan terms.

Research Loan Options

Explore various loan options from different providers, such as banks, credit unions, and online lenders. Compare their interest rates and terms to find the best deal possible. Remember that some lenders specialize in working with borrowers with poor credit, which may help you secure a more favorable loan.

Get Pre-Approved for a Loan

Getting pre-approved for a car loan can help you shop more realistically and give you an edge when negotiating with dealerships. Pre-approval also allows you to compare different loan offers without affecting your credit score, as lenders typically use a soft credit pull during this process.

Consider a Co-Signer

If you have a trusted friend or family member with good credit, consider asking them to co-sign your car loan. This can help you secure better terms and interest rates, as the lender now has additional assurance that the loan will be repaid.

However, be aware that your co-signer will also be responsible for the debt if you’re unable to make payments. Ensure both parties understand the potential risks involved before agreeing to this arrangement.

Shop for the Right Car

When shopping for a car with bad credit, finding a vehicle that fits your budget while meeting your needs is crucial. Consider price, age, mileage, and features when comparing cars. Used vehicles are often more affordable options for buyers with poor credit.

Negotiate the Price

Don’t be afraid to negotiate the price of the car with the dealership. Securing a lower purchase price reduces the amount of money you need to borrow and may improve your loan terms.

Be Cautious of Add-Ons and Extras

Dealerships may try to upsell you on add-ons and extras that can significantly increase the overall cost of your car purchase. While some of these features may be beneficial, carefully consider whether they’re worth the added expense, especially if you’re already working with a tight budget.

Refinance When Your Credit Improves

After securing your car loan and making consistent on-time payments, you’ll likely see an improvement in your credit score. This allows you to refinance your car loan for better interest rates or terms. Refinancing involves replacing your existing loan with a new one, ideally with more favorable conditions.

As your credit score improves, lenders may view you as less of a risk, which helps you secure lower interest rates or a more manageable repayment plan. Refinancing can save you a significant amount of money over the life of your loan and help you pay off your car faster.

Overcoming Bad Credit To Finance Your Dream Car

Bad credit can make financing a car seem challenging, but it doesn’t have to be an insurmountable hurdle. By taking proactive steps to improve your credit score and researching loan options, you can increase your chances of securing the right loan for your situation. Remember, patience and persistence are key when working toward better financial health.

Both the Ford Explorer and the Jeep Grand Cherokee are midsize SUVs vying for your attention. Their similarities are such that it may be difficult to choose which is best for you. They have similar specs, high ratings, and seem to fill the same niches. However, take a closer look and you’ll spot some key differences. Here we’ll go through them to establish where they differ and which edges in key areas. View our inventory of New Vehicles, or if you have any questions, give us a call at (539)-766-8990 today!

Jeep Grand Cherokee Engine and Performance

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Plug-in Hybrid line-up in terrain

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Plug-in Hybrid

For basic levels of performance, the 2023 Ford Explorer is a great asset with some excellent options, such as the 2.3-liter Ecoboost I-4, which offers you a whopping 300 horsepower, or the 3.3-liter V-6 hybrid, which offers 318 horsepower. If you really want to go for the most powerful one available, then consider the 3.0-liter EcoBoost V-6, which has an excellent 400 horsepower. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but you can upgrade to all-wheel drive in most trims.

When compared to the veritable stable of horsepower that is the Explorer, the Cherokee doesn’t do badly. Its options include a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 293 horsepower and a 5.7 Hemi V-8 with 357 horsepower. Its plug-in hybrid options include the 4xe model, which can provide you with 375 horsepower. However, it’s worth comparing these models for efficiency. Whereas the Explorer offers you 24 mpg combined, the Cherokee only offers 22. However, the plug-in Grand Cherokee can offer 56 mpg-equivalent if it’s in electric mode and 23 mpg combined if it’s in hybrid mode.

In terms of towing, the Cherokee is the winner with a maximum capacity of 7,200 pounds compared with only 5,600 pounds for the Explorer. So if you’re planning to do any hitching up, the Cherokee is the one to consider, although it’s worth making sure you’re not paying for extra power that you never actually need. Similarly, if you’re planning to go off-roading, the Cherokee has a slight edge over the Explorer. Although you can get traction-enhancing all-wheel-drive systems on both models, the higher clearance offered by the Cherokee is an advantage.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Interior

Both vehicles are comfortable and have excellent leg and headroom, but in terms of overall capacity, the Explorer has the edge. It provides 152.7 cubic feet of passenger volume compared with 144.6 cubic feet for the two-row Cherokee and 152 cubic feet for the Cherokee L. The Explorer seats seven passengers, whereas only six fit in the Grand Cherokee and only five in the two-row version. It’s also worth noting that this extra capacity makes the Explorer wider than the Cherokee, so it might be a little more difficult to maneuver, park, and squeeze in and out of tight spaces.

This means that if you’re looking for extra space and extra carrying capacity, the Explorer comes out on top. Even with cargo space, the Explorer is a larger vehicle. It offers a maximum of 87.8 cubic feet compared with 70.8 cubic feet for the Cherokee. However, it’s always worth considering whether or not the extra capacity is something you need. You don’t want to be carting around excess capacity that you’re not going to use.

In terms of infotainment and technology, the Cherokee gives you an 8.4-inch touch screen, but you can upgrade to a 10.1-inch model. In contrast, the Explorer offers an 8.0-inch touch screen, but you can again upgrade to 10.1 inches. Both offer the standard  Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and voice activation is standard. Overall, the technology matches, but the Cherokee has a more stylish and comfortable interior.

The Cherokee offers in-dash navigation that allows you to follow real-time traffic and weather updates, and there’s an optional digital gauge cluster. For most models, a six-speaker stereo is the norm, but you can ramp it up to a nine-speaker Alpine setup, or even a 19-speaker McIntosh array that gives you amazing audio fidelity. For most trims, the Explorer only goes up to a 12-speaker Bang and Olufsen system, which hands the win to the Cherokee in this area.

Highlights of the Cherokee include its parallel and perpendicular parking assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, and lane departure warning with lane-keep assist. Full-speed collision warning with active braking together with advanced brake assist all help you keep safe. The Explorer has much of the same but with some good tweaks, such as blind-spot monitoring system and a rearview camera to give you a little more parking space.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Pricing and Trims

There are a staggering eleven trims on the Jeep Grand Cherokee, with prices ranging from an MSRP of $42,830 to $78,870. The Limited model might be the one to go for in this range, with leather upholstery, a power-operated liftgate, some stylish interior ambient lighting, and automatic high-beam headlights. If you choose the Lux Tech Group II package, you’ll also get rain-sensing windshield wipers, ventilated front seats, and a power-adjustable steering column. There are too many options to list here, but the point is that you can’t go wrong with a Cherokee because of the range of options available.

The Explorer isn’t far behind with eight separate trims, ranging from an MSRP of $38,355 right up to $56,965. However, the base models have the small single-turbo four-cylinder engine, and it may be worth investing in the twin turbocharged V-6 for a reasonable amount of power. You can also go for all-wheel drive, and if you’re after off-roading capability, consider going for the Timberline. Overall, the Explorer might seem a more affordable option, but you probably get more exciting options by looking at the different trims of the Cherokee.

The Explorer or the Jeep Grand Cherokee?

At the end of the day, it’s really for you to decide which of these fits your needs. For us, the Cherokee really wins out in most of the areas. It has better overall performance,  more flexibility in its trims, and greater versatility. If you’d like to see more or check out any recent models, feel free to drop us a line at Chris Nikel of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and we’ll be only too happy to help.

Looking after your Ram 1500 enables you to get the most out of it. This can involve the simplest tasks, such as keeping the windscreen clean and checking the tread on your tires, or more complicated tasks, such as taking it for a service. Guide On How To Change Your Own Oil In Your RAM 1500

Changing the oil is one of those tasks that are in between, as it can be a little complicated if you’re not sure what you’re doing. However, it becomes relatively straightforward once you’ve done it a couple of times. This article will take you through some hints and tips on what to look for and how to tackle oil changes with your Ram 1500.

Preparation

Preparation is key when you’re changing oil. You don’t want to get halfway through and realize you’ve missed something. So, a good place to begin is getting together the following:

  • New oil: Consider using synthetic oil, which has been manufactured to produce a specific performance in modern engines and has a greater propensity for withstanding higher temperatures and pressure. Make sure that the oil you use is recommended for your Ram truck and that it fits the FCA Material Standard MS-6395 for gasoline or MS-12991 for diesel engines.
  • A funnel: This means you can pour the oil into the engine without making a mess.
  • A new oil filter: Gunk in the oil can block up the oil filter and undermine the flow of oil through the engine, so it’s a good idea to make sure you replace this when you change the oil.
  • A 13mm socket and ratchet: These tools make it easier for you to change the oil.
  • An oil catch basin: This is to catch the old oil on the other side of the engine when you change the oil.
  • Flashlight: This makes it easier to see when you look under the vehicle.
  • Rags: This means you can clean the different parts of any oil.
  • Gloves: These keep the oil off your hands.

Once you have lined all this up, you can move on to the next stage.

Drain the Old Oil

The first thing you should do here is make sure you’re parked on a flat surface and make doubly sure you’ve got the parking brake on because you don’t want it to move when you’re underneath the vehicle. Then, with the wrench, you need to find the drain plug under the engine. You’ll find the flashlight useful when you’re looking for it. Usually, the ground clearance of the Ram 1500 is large enough that you can do this without needing to use a lift or a jack.

Once you’ve found the drain plug, place the basin underneath and use the wrench to unscrew the cap. It should be 13 mm, but you may need to try different sizes in case the cap has been replaced in a previous oil change, so don’t try and force it.

Once you’ve unscrewed it, let the old oil drain out. Once the flow has stopped, you can wipe off the drain plug with a rag and then replace the cap. Make sure you put the cap back on firmly but don’t tighten it too much and break the thread.

Changing the Oil Filter

The next stage is to change the oil filter. The position of the oil filter may vary depending on which engine you’re using, so there’s no hard and fast rule about how to do this part; it’s a case of checking the manufacturer’s handbook. For example, in the 3.6-liter Ecodiesel, the oil filter is on the upper part of the engine, but in the 5.7-liter HEMI, you’ll find it in the lower part.

To access the oil filter, you’ll ideally need a strap wrench. Sometimes, it can be a little awkward to loosen the filter, particularly if it’s the first time and it’s tight. When you draw it out, there may be excess oil that will spill, so be prepared for that with some rags. Then, replace it with the new filter, which is pretty much following the reverse of what you just did.

Filling Up With New Oil

That was the hard part done. The next part is just to fill it up with new oil. To make sure you’ve got the right type, make sure that it’s covered on the cap of the engine oil. Use the funnel, and then replace the cap tightly when you’re done. You’re pretty much done at this stage, but there are a couple of things worth doing to make sure that your truck runs beautifully.

The first thing is to start the engine and run it for 30 seconds or so. This warms up the new oil and makes sure it starts moving through the engine. Then, turn off the engine and check the oil level using the dipstick. Because some of the new oil should have moved through the engine, the level should have dropped a little, so you can keep topping it up to make sure you’ve got enough oil in the system. You can do this a few times to make sure that the engine is topped up and leveled out.

The final task is to reset the Ram truck’s Oil Life system.  This is a system that tracks when you need to change the oil, so resetting it means that it starts counting the miles from the new oil change. Press the start button, go to “vehicle info” on the steering info, and scroll to the “Oil Life” screen. If you press OK at this point, it’ll reset back to zero. Then, you can press the “up” arrow and return to the driver display screen.

That’s It, You’re Done

Before you head off into the great wide yonder, make sure you haven’t left anything underneath the vehicle before you move it and that you’ve tightened and tidied everything up. Remember that the first time you do this, it might be a little tricky to find the various oil plugs, but after the first time, it gets easier and becomes routine.  This is one of those jobs that you can manage yourself, but for any advice or nudges in the right direction, just drop us a line at Chris Nikel , and we’ll be delighted to lend a hand.

In late 2021, Dodge stunned the auto industry when it announced that it would not release a 2022 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. Despite the popularity of the 2021 model, the 6.2L V-8 Hellcat engine it contained failed to meet new evaporative emissions standards for SUVs put into place for 2022. This led to the automaker shelving the 2022 model, and it also created some speculation that the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat might not return at all.

Fortunately, this didn’t end up being the case. The Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is back and better than ever in 2023 after its one-year hiatus. And it remains the most powerful SUV out on the road today. Keep reading to learn more about the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat and the variety of features that have Durango SRT Hellcat fans excited for its return. Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat ExteriorThe Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat

Since Dodge was forced to stick the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat on the sidelines last year, you may have expected them to tinker with its exterior once it was clear the automaker was bringing it back. But for the most part, the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat looks a whole lot like Dodge left it back in 2021 — not that that’s a bad thing. It once again has a bulging body that’s clearly inspired by all the different muscle cars in the Dodge lineup. It makes the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat appear every bit as powerful as it is.

Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Engine

If you think the exterior of the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat looks tough, you’ll definitely want to get a load of the engine. It’s the reason why Dodge can call the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat the most powerful SUV on earth. It has a supercharged 6.2L V-8 engine that can produce up to 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. It also has an eight-speed automatic transmission that can send the engine’s power to all four of the new Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat’s wheels.

Thanks to all this, the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat can go from zero to 60 mph in just over 3.5 seconds, and it tops out at 180 mph. It’s also capable of towing up to 8,700 pounds. And as if all of that wasn’t intimidating enough, it has an enhanced exhaust system that makes it sound like the massive beast it is. You’ll be able to hear the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat coming from a mile away (sometimes literally).

“Strong” is the word that comes to mind as far as the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is concerned, and it isn’t just because of the vehicle’s muscular exterior and high-powered engine. The interior of the latest Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is strong, too. From its flat-bottom steering wheel with SRT branding to its Nappa leather seats that are both heated and ventilated to its oversized T-handle shifter, everything inside the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat seems larger than life. It even comes with a foldaway third row that provides plenty of space for passengers to stretch out.

Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Technology Features

It just wouldn’t feel right to get behind the wheel of a 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat and see a puny touch screen staring back at you. So Dodge went ahead and added a 10.1-inch touch screen to enable you to take control of the company’s Uconnect 5 software. It also added features such as standard wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa functionality, and it even made it possible to hook up two different Bluetooth devices to Uconnect at the same time.

If all that isn’t enough, you’ll also have the option to add two 9.0-inch touch screens to the back of the front seats. This is a nice option to have if you’re planning on using the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat as a family vehicle.

Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Safety Features

You shouldn’t have to worry about too many other drivers messing with you when you’re putting the pedal to the metal in a 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. But even still, Dodge didn’t skimp at all when it was time to incorporate safety features into the Durango SRT Hellcat. It comes standard with features such as rear automated emergency braking and automatic high-beam headlights. You’ll also have the opportunity to add optional safety features, such as front automated emergency braking, to the mix if you like.

Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Pricing

Everything else about the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is supersized. So, it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to hear that, in addition to being the most powerful SUV around, the new Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is also going to be one of the most expensive SUVs on the market. The Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat starts at $91,185 MSRP. Meanwhile, the SRT Hellcat Plus starts at $97,185 MSRP, and the SRT Hellcat Premium starts at $102,480 MSRP.

Despite these prices, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat sell out completely, either. That’s exactly what happened a couple of years ago when Dodge started selling the 2021 model.

Come Hear the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Roar

It’s hard not to be impressed with what Dodge has managed to do with the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. Just one year after being put in a position where it was unable to capitalize on the success of the 2021 model, it’s come roaring back with a vengeance and has placed the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat back up on the pedestal where it belongs. It’s more than deserving of all the hype it’s received.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Exterior

The Jeep Grand Cherokee just got a makeover for the 2022 model year, so you won’t see any dramatic differences between the 2022 and 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokees. But one thing that’s worth noting is that Jeep is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Grand Cherokee this year. For this occasion, Jeep has come up with a very special 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe 30th Anniversary Edition that includes commemorative badging on its exterior. Whether you’re a long-time Grand Cherokee fanatic or a first-time Grand Cherokee buyer, you can help celebrate a momentous occasion with this particular model.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Engine

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Plug-in Hybrid Image By Jeep

One big change that Jeep made when putting together plans for the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee was doing away with the 5.7-liter V-8 engine that has been available in recent years. But fortunately for you, this has allowed them to focus more on the plug-in-hybrid powertrain that is available in the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. This powertrain includes both a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine as well as an electric traction motor that are capable of working together to produce up to 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The motor is powered by a 14.0 kWh battery pack.

Thanks to this setup, the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe can travel up to 26 miles when its battery is fully charged. It also gets better fuel economy than any other 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee model once it switches over to using gas. It can get up to 23 miles per gallon in the city and up to 24 miles per gallon on the highway. Plus, the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is the quickest Grand Cherokee of the bunch compared to all the other available trims. It can go from zero to 60 mph in just 5.3 seconds.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Interior

The inside of the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is truly a thing of beauty. From the 12-way adjustable driver’s and passenger’s front seats and the heated steering wheel to the spacious second row of seating and all of the thoughtfully designed wood trim throughout it, the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe both looks and feels like the luxury SUV that it is. It also provides almost 40 cubic feet of cargo space, which should give you plenty of room if you’re planning to take the latest Grand Cherokee out on a road trip anytime soon.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Technology

The sheer number of screens that Jeep has managed to shoehorn into the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is impressive to say the least. There is a 10.1-inch touch screen that comes standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM satellite radio. You’ll also be able to get access to a digital gauge cluster, a 10.0-inch head-up display, and even a 10.3-inch display positioned in the dashboard directly in front of the passenger’s seat.

The technology doesn’t stop there, either. The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe will also come equipped with a 10-speaker Alpine stereo system and an optional in-dash navigation system capable of delivering real-time traffic reports in addition to updates on the weather. It’ll put just about everything that you need from a tech standpoint right at your fingertips.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Safety Features

Just like many other automakers, Jeep has realized that most consumers want to purchase vehicles that come with as many standard safety features as possible. It has responded by jam-packing the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe with a suite of safety features that you’ll be more than happy to have. It’ll come standard with everything from automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection to lane departure warning and lane-keep assist to adaptive cruise control.

There are also a few safety features that’ll be found specifically in the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe 30th Anniversary Edition. These features will include Jeep’s ParkSense Front and Rear Park Assist as well as a 360-degree surround-view camera that will make it easy to get in and out of even the tightest spaces.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Price

You’ll be able to choose from several different trims when you purchase the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. They’ll each have slightly different price tags on them. The standard 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe will start at an MSRP of $60,360, while the 30th Anniversary Edition 4xe will start at $65,060. The Trailhawk 4xe, meanwhile, will start at $65,755, while the Overland 4xe will start at $68,375. There is also a top-of-the-line Summit 4xe that starts at $73,090 and a Summit Reserve 4xe that starts at $77,570.

Test-Drive the New 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Plug-In Hybrid in Broken Arrow, OK

Jeep will be releasing its lineup of all-electric SUVs soon enough. As you’ve seen here, it will offer a lot of the things that you’ve come to know and love about the Jeep Grand Cherokee over time while also taking the Grand Cherokee to the next level by introducing a plug-in-hybrid powertrain into the mix. What Is the Windshield Wiper Fluid In My RAM 1500?

The windshield wiper fluid is also known as the wiper washer fluid. Contrary to what many believe, the wiper fluid isn’t pure water. Instead, it consists of ammonia and alcohol, which work collectively to clean your vehicle’s windshield.

How Do You Know if the Fluid Level Is Low In My RAM 1500?

The RAM 1500 has a state-of-the-art warning system for the fluid level. It features a sensor attached to a small light on the dashboard. This sensor automatically triggers the light to illuminate when the fluid level drops below the minimum level.

In addition to the automatic warning system, experts recommend checking the fluid level manually every two months to avoid unexpected downtime. If you’re wondering how to check and replenish the wiper fluid level, consider the following steps:

1. Park the Car on Level Ground

Before checking the fluid level, ensure the car stands on level ground for an accurate reading. In addition, parking the car before the procedure is a necessary safety precaution to allow the engine to cool.

2. Locate the Wiper Fluid Reservoir

Most cars have a fluid reservoir below the windshield base, and the RAM 1500 is no exception. First, you’ll need to open the frontal hood to access the reservoir. Once you open the hood, simply search behind the engine bay or the area around the front fenders. The fluid reservoir is typically a whitish container with a symbol on the cap.

If you can’t locate the reservoir, the owner’s manual will help. Under the car maintenance section, follow the manufacturer’s instructions on how to find the reservoir.

3. Check the Fluid Level

Most fluid reservoirs are translucent to allow a clear view of the fluid level. You can determine how much fluid you have by looking at the tank. As a general rule, the tank should be more than half full for the wiper system to perform efficiently.

Alternatively, your reservoir may have marks showing the required fluid level. If the wiper fluid drops below the minimum level, don’t hesitate to replenish the tank.

4. Replenish the Reservoir

Windshield fluid reservoirs are usually airtight to avoid contamination by foreign objects. Unlock the cap by turning it in the direction shown by the arrow on the cap. Once you open it, you can fill the tank.

You’ll need a funnel to avoid spilling any fluid on the nearby accessories. Then, carefully pour the liquid until it reaches the maximum fill line.

However, if the reservoir doesn’t have a fill level, you should replenish the tank until it’s ¾ full. Experts don’t recommend filling the tank to the brim since the fluid expands when it gains heat as the engine rotates.

5. Close the Reservoir and Test the Wipers

The final step involves closing the cap and testing the windshield wipers. Once you return the cap to its rightful position, close the hood and prepare for the ultimate test.

First, turn the ignition to “On” or “Accessory Position.” Afterward, turn on the windshield wipers, followed by the washers.

If the washer nozzles are in perfect working condition, you’ll see a steady stream of fluid gushing across the windshield.

Congratulations, you’re now ready for a day-long adventure with replenished wiper fluid.

What if the Windshield Wiper Fluid Is Not Coming Out In My RAM 1500?

Sometimes, the wiper fluid won’t come out, despite replenishing the tank. This may be due to the following reasons:

Clogged Washer Nozzles

The fluid may not spray onto the windshield if there’s a blockage on the washer nozzles. In such instances, you can use compressed air to unblock the nozzles.

Spray pressurized air into the nozzles using an air compression hose to blow out any foreign objects. You could also use a sewing needle or a nozzle needle that fits perfectly on the nozzle.

Damaged Washer Hose

Sometimes, damage or leakage may prevent the washer fluid from coming out of the reservoir. As a result, you should inspect the hose and replace it if you spot worrying damages.

Blown-Off Fuse

Cars have different fuses to prevent damage to various electrical components. For this reason, a blown-up wiper fuse could be the reason why the fluid doesn’t spray when you activate the system.

You can refer to the owner’s manual to locate the fuse and test it using a circuit tester. If the fuse is blown off, you might need to buy a new one.

Faulty Wiring

The windshield washer system has a set of cables for transmitting power from the battery. If there’s a short circuit or loose cables, there won’t be power flow to the system.

You should, therefore, check that all cables to the system haven’t become loose or detached from their connection points.

Damaged Washer Pump Motor

A damaged washer pump will prevent fluid flow from the reservoir. So, if you suspect a fault in the system, it may be time for an inspection.

First, locate the pump at the bottom end of the fluid reservoir. Afterward, disconnect the car battery and unplug the bolts connecting the pump to the car.

Disconnect the harness plugs and the hose to access the motor. You can then remove the motor to repair or replace it.

Nothing is as disappointing as cleaning a dirty windshield on an empty fluid reservoir. In addition, a dirty windshield is a serious accident hazard because it reduces your visibility on the road.

The good news is that you can avoid disappointment by checking the wiper fluid level when you carry out routine maintenance. Contact our car dealership for expert advice on replenishing the wiper fluid, or schedule a service appointment to repair any faults in the system.
