What’s the Wrangler Magneto EV Concept?

The Jeep Magneto EV Concept is an all-electric take on the brand’s popular Wrangler vehicle. Released at the 56th Annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari, this concept machine is actually a new and improved version of the previous Magneto concept from 2021. While the previous version of this electric off-roader was impressive, with power enough to rival the gas engine Wrangler’s performance and ability, the 2.0 is even more exciting. Performance Specifications

Jeep’s Magneto 2.0 comes with some incredible power. The vehicle features an 800-volt battery, which allows this SUV to produce 625 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque. With the ride’s advanced power system, it can hold this peak amperage for up to 10 seconds. Thanks to this system, the new Magneto can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in two seconds.

And to top it all off, the Magneto manages to do all of this while maintaining the Wrangler’s fun-to-drive six-speed manual gearbox. Not to mention the custom driveshaft and off-road suspension.  All of this is topped off with an eye-catching coat of surf-blue paint and the classic Jeep no-door, no-roof style. Range Rating

The newly imagined Magneto concept comes with an impressive 124-miles range on its battery. While this may not be as jaw-dropping as the ride’s horsepower rating, it’s a good sign that Jeep is able to put the two together for a vehicle that can conquer any terrain while maintaining its charge. Although this Magneto isn’t intended for the everyday driver (yet), look for Jeep to capitalize on current electric battery advancements to keep you on the road for longer.
